About Friday Night Funkin APK
Friday Night Funkin' is drawn and animated in a chibi-like art style, and features multiple weeks where the player is confronted with different opponents with multiple songs.
The plot of the game centers around our protagonist, Boyfriend, trying to hook up with his girlfriend, but her ex-rockstar Dad doesn't approve of him.
Main characters in Friday Night Funkin:
Daddy Dearest, girlfriend's father, Mom's husband, is the main opponent of Week 1 and Week 5. She is a former rock star and does not allow a boyfriend with her daughter to be the protagonist. The father has a demonic appearance with purple skin, black eyes with red glowing representations, and brown purple hair that is vaguely shaped like a monster's horn. He wears a black suit jacket that is open without a shirt that shows off his brown chest and pubic hair, and his black pants are with gold buckles and belts. He wears a silver watch and holds the microphone in his left hand.

Her dark red lipstick, pointed nails are red and her microphone is in her right hand.
At 5 weeks, she wears a neckline, red and white Santa Claus dress, black belt gold buckle, white fur-lined knee-high heels, and gold hoop earrings. She has a microphone for her and Daddy Dearest and her pink finger.
Boyfriend is the main character and protagonist of Friday Night Funkin. She is on a mission to get her friend's approval but she comes up against her father and other characters who come her way.
This friend is a young, white-skinned man with blue-blue hair. She wears a red taboo badge with a white T-shirt, blue baggy pants, red sneakers, and a red and blue hat on the back. He has his microphone in his right hand and in his left pocket.
At 5 weeks she wears a red and white parka, light blue pants, and brown snowshoes.
The girlfriend is interested in her boyfriend's love and is the daughter of Daddy Dearest and The Mom. Usually, she sits on the boombox, cheering you on by cutting her head at the tempo of the music. In the tutorial, he will teach you how to play and keep an eye on your combo during the game.
This friend is a young, white-skinned woman with long red-brown hair. She wears a red sleeveless dress and red heels. Her nails are painted red. He always sits on his feet.
At 5 weeks she wears a sleeveless red dress with a white collar, red gloves with white cuffs, white, thigh short red bows, and gloves with yellow bell earrings.
Premise and Gameplay
In Friday Night Funkin', players control Boyfriend, a man trying to woo Girlfriend but are being stopped by her evil ex-rockstar dad who viciously rejects the relationship. Boyfriend must face off against him in a rap battle to prove himself, although it isn't just him he needs to beat to win her over.
Gameplay and Controls
The Gameplay of Friday Night Funkin' is simple, your objective is to press the arrow keys dictated on the screen, a, s, w, and d keys can also be used. Your character is on the right and you have an opponent on the left with the same objective although your opponent can not make a single mistake. Every week will have a new opponent and new different music and area layout/background.
“It's basically like DDR, press arrow when arrow over another arrow. And uhhh don't die.”
― Itch.io description on how to play the game
Players must use the WASD and/or the arrow keys on their keyboard to play.
To pause the game, press the enter key.
Press the - and + keys to decrease or increase the game volume respectively, and 0 to mute the game.
Humorously, press the R key at any time during a song to instantly trigger a game over.
During the game over screen, press the enter key, Z key, or spacebar to restart the track. Press the escape or backspace key to quit.
Using the WASD/arrow keys, players must press them in correspondence to the colored arrows (the notes) shown on-screen when they overlap with their markers.
If an arrow appears with a line streak below it, the player must hold that key for as long as the streak is. Although the notes with a streak do not grant any extra points beyond the initial key press, holding it fully will quickly increase the health bar while releasing too early can quickly decrease it.
In-game, the antagonist always sings their verse first, and the player must respond by repeating the opponent's pattern. Occasionally, the player must harmonize with their opponent, both singing at the same time.
To the bottom of the screen is a health bar depicting the head icons of the antagonist(s) to the right and the Boyfriend to the left. When the player does not miss a note, the icons push slightly to the left, causing the bar to appear more green. If the player misses a note, the icons push slightly to the right, causing the bar to appear more red. If the head icons move too close to the right, Boyfriend's icon will change to appear hurt. Alternatively, if the head icons move too close to the left, the antagonist's icon will change to appear hurt instead (with some exceptions).
If the player makes too many mistakes during the song to the point of depleting the bar entirely, they will get a game over. If the player makes it to the end of a song without depleting the bar to the right entirely, they win.
Continuously hitting notes will eventually cause a streak counter to appear near Girlfriend. This counter starts at 0 upon hitting a note. After that, players must hit 10 more notes for the counter to appear with each note press. From 10 and onwards, the counter will go up for every successful note the player hits without missing. If the player presses a key but misses a note, the counter resets, and the Girlfriend will briefly cry. However, if the player misses a note, but does not press the key for it, the counter will not reset.
The combo counter does not affect the score in any way and is mostly an aesthetic feature.
Points are added to a score counter below the health bar. Below is a table for points in relation to how well the player hits the notes.
The story mode is the main mode of the game. In this mode, the player can choose between 6 different weeks, (one of which being a tutorial), and select between 3 different difficulties: Easy, Normal, and Hard.
Weeks are groups of 1-3 songs the player goes through. Each week has a different antagonist and (with the exception of the Tutorial and Week 1) has a different background.
The tutorial is an extra training week that teaches the player the basics of how to play the game, with the antagonist being Girlfriend, and the location is the Theatre. The song that is used is, appropriately enough, Tutorial.
Week 1 is the first week of the game, with the antagonist being Daddy Dearest, and the location is the Theatre. The songs in this week are Bopeebo, Fresh, and Dadbattle.
Week 2 is the second week of the game, with the antagonist being Skid and Pump, and the location being in a Haunted House. The songs this week are Spookeez and South.
Week 3 is the third week of the game, with the antagonist being Pico, and the location being Philadelphia. The songs in this week are Pico, Philly, and Blamed.
Week 4 is the fourth week of the game, with the antagonist being The Mom, and the location being atop a Limousine. The songs in this week are Satin Panties, High, and M.I.L.F.
Week 5 is the fifth and currently final week of the game, with the antagonists being Daddy Dearest with The Mom, and Monster, and the location is the Mall. The songs are Cocoa, Eggnog, and Winter Horrorland. It was planned to release for Christmas but was delayed due to time constraints.
Freeplay is the second mode of the game. Players are allowed to freely pick and play any of the songs from all the weeks on any of the 3 difficulties, and view their personal best scores for each individual track.
Player scores from story mode will be transferred to Freeplay if the score is greater. However, achieving better scores in Freeplay does not affect week scores from story mode.
Freeplay is a game mode choice that allows you to play any song from the weeks you have unlocked. You cannot play songs from weeks you have not unlocked, for example, if you haven't beaten Week 2, you cannot play Week 3 or Week 4 on Freeplay.
You can choose between Easy, Normal, and Hard mode by clicking the left and right arrow keys to change the difficulty.
Before week's 5 updates, Freeplay mode strangely had some of the songs out of order on the list, such as Dadbattle being before Fresh.
Week 4 is the only "late" week.
Week 5 is the second holiday week to not come out on said holiday, the first being the Halloween-themed Week 2.
Week 5 includes a large number of character cameos, many of which originate from or being tied to Newgrounds.
